I grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania, where a contentious rivalry rages between fans of Pittsburgh-area sports teams (BOO) and fans of Cleveland-area sports teams (YAY). I grew up a Cleveland fan (obviously), so wearing black and gold was a no-no, as it represented the enemy.
Now that I live in the Boston area, where black and gold instead represents the Bruins, I feel that it is acceptable to wear black and gold together—which is exciting because I quite like the color combination.
So I wore this black and gold ensemble for a walk with B through the McIntire District, a beautiful historical neighborhood and one of my favorite parts of Salem. It's especially gorgeous in the fall, so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite photos from our walk.
Great fall pics! Isn't funny how wearing different color combos relates back to sports!? It does for me at least. :) Hope you have a fab weekend!

Absolutely!
DeleteWoah woah woah.. you are a CLEVELAND fan?! That is awesome! How did that happen in PA? I love the color combo on you and I want your bangs and hair color.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Well, Erie is actually a little closer to Cleveland than it is to Pittsburgh, so the fan base is pretty evenly split. Go Cleveland!
DeleteWhat a beautiful street with autumn leaves! Also loved the color of pants so much :)

Thanks! They're my new favorite pair :)
DeleteLove this outfit. Those pants are fantastic! I always feel like the bumble bee girl from that Blind Melon music video when I wear black and yellow together.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that association does come to mind as well..
DeletePretty fall day. As usual, love your scarf :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfit I love the pop of color :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend Hannah (and your hair looks fantastic per usual!)
I always find myself wearing color combos from my high school colors (purple, green & gold). I think it's funny how certain color combos will always remind us of something and contribute to thinking colors look great together or unacceptable. I love that scarf you have on!

My high school colors were red and yellow. I still can't wear them together without being reminded of dressing for pep rallies and sporting events :)
DeleteYour posts always make me want to go to Salem. You look so cute and I'm glad you can finally wear these colors again, haha! :)
