I don't know about the rest of you, but we've been experiencing some weird weather in Boston recently. First, there were several days when the temperature remained around a cool 65 degrees (which I absolutely loved), followed by several days when the temperature climbed to around 100 degrees (which I absolutely hated).

I barely left my apartment & certainly didn't get dressed in anything remotely stylish on those hot days, so today I'm sharing a few photos that were obvi taken on one of the cooler days we had last week. I love me some spring layering!

I wore this outfit for big brunch with B, my sister & her boyfriend, and a couple of my cousins. We went to Zoe's in Harvard Square. It was amazing.

First off, the menu was huge. Even when I decided I wanted an omelet, I was left with almost an entire page of delicious choices.

I finally chose the Tuscan omelet, which was stuffed full of sundried tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and avocado. It was huge & fabulous, as you can probably tell from the photo.

  1. Wow, it looks amazing. Way better than the breakfast I'm eating right now ;) We have just been hot, hot, hot- mid 90s all weeks up to 100 by this weekend. Miserable. I wish I could live in a bubble of perpetual 70 degrees and sunny!

I love wearing the orange-t shirt to pull out that color in the scarf. It's very pretty!

Last week's heatwave just about killed me. I was beyond miserable for those few days when it was unbearably hot. I'm so glad it's cooled off a little and I can actually wear cute clothes again.

  5. This weather is bonkers. I am definitely happy that it is cool again, I hate when it's so hot I can't sleep.  I love summer days that are a mixture of thunderstorms and sunshine, so yesterday was pretty much the best day ever.

I love orange and neon pink together. It's an unexpected combination, but it really works!

  7. I can't believe it dropped to the 60s and you had to layer! It got colder in Jersey too but not that chilly. That omelette looks insanely delicious. I love a good diner!

  12. Lots of lovely color. I love how you combine them all. And now, sadly, after my tummy is bursting full of sweet potato and carrot soup, I'm craving an omelet thanks to you. Somebody help me!

  16. oh my that food looks delish! I personally love the heat. I find the easiest way to beat it is to wear summer dresses on days like that. But you look super cute in this outfit too!

  18. Blah, our weather's been all over the place lately as well. (It just makes it so fun trying to get ready in the morning, right?)  I really love your color scheme here, the browns and the oranges look so fantastic, throwing in the little bits of pink was genius!
