Keeping Cool

I know some of you are going to want to punch me in my face for saying this, but I loathe hot weather. As soon as the temp creeps above 80 degrees, I turn into a grumpy, whiny baby. We experienced one such day in Boston on Saturday. Somehow, after a great deal of complaining, I managed to drag myself out of our steamy apartment for a walk around the grounds of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. It's one of the prettiest spots in the city!

Admittedly, this outfit isn't one of my most creative or exciting, but, given the ridic hot weather, I wanted to wear pieces that kept me cool: light, loose-fitting clothing & a head scarf to keep my hair off of my face. You'll probably see variations of this look often this summer.

  3. It WAS pretty hot on Saturday, but I loved it.  You look so cute in head scarves and I love the simple outfit. Perfect for a walk in hot weather! :)

  7. It's been really freaking hot here too but luckily the beach is always cooler than places inland and you can take a dip in the ocean.

    I love that you and your hubs are wearing the same color scheme!

    I seriously, seriously hate hot weather as well! I was in Boston on Saturday visiting with my 8 month pregnant friend and I felt so terrible for even making her be outside for a second. Awful. But this is a great keeping cool outfit - I love the slouchy shirt.

  12. I know a tonne of people who HATE the heat. I do love it myself, but by the end of summer I'm usually praying for some snow :P

  13. I'm the same way about the heat, there's a reason I left the south for Boston! Saturday was pretty bad, walked 2 blocks for lunch and was dying!
