Outfit Details: Sunnies: Steve Madden (Macy's); Dress: vintage, thrifted; Belt: sister's; Purse: vintage Dooney & Bourke (thrifted); Flip-flops: Old Navy
A friend once told me, as I was wearing a gingham top, that my top made him want to eat a picnic off of me. I don't care what the haters say; gingham is one of my favorite patterns, and it's so quintessentially spring/summer.
The last time I wore this dress was in December, and I had to layer the crap out of it to make it suitable for winter wear. In contrast, I love how easily I was able to style it for warmer weather: a few accessories & it's good to go! I do think, however, that I'm going to take it to a seamstress to have it shortened a bit. Man, life would be so much easier if I could sew..
Okay, this is beyond cute! I love that dress and the belt is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteI love it. And also think it's weird that people want to eat things off of you, but hey, whatever makes them happy.
ReplyDeleteboys just don't understand fashion ;) i'm obsessed with gingham and absolutely love your dress! (& hair? can you do a tutorial sometime?!)

I am LOL at your friend's comment! I like gingham, though. It looks really good on you.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so classic/ vintage looking about this outfit. Maybe it's the combo of the gingham, the bun, and the vintage D&B bag? Whatever it is, I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable, I LOVE the gingham dress. Have a fabulous weekend!

What a great dress! Really like how you styled it. Your bun is adorable.....
ReplyDeleteInitially, I wrote your buns are adorable because I had looked some of your other posts before commenting on this one. But that just sounded really awkward, especially for a first time commenter :)

I love the belt and the bag! And I agree, shortening the dress a few inches would make it even better! I do that to half the things I find at the thrift store. :)
