Have I ever explained to you how much I love cupcakes? If not, suffice it to say that I really, really love them. It's kind of a strange love, though, because I've never liked actual cake very much. Hm. Whatevs.
Anyway, I'm kind of on an unofficial mission to visit all the best cupcake shops in Boston, so yesterday B and I headed to Jamaica Plain (for the first time ever) to visit Monumental Cupcakes. The shop is so cute, and their cupcakes were delightful. They also have a menu full of vegetarian and vegan food (as in non-cupcake food), and I can't wait to go back and try more!

This is how they make their coffee. So cool, right? I didn't have any, but B did, and he said it was delicious.

Did you notice my new hair color? (It's okay if you didn't). I recently won a color & highlight by Heather at the Jeffrey Lyle Salon. I think she did a fabulous job, and I am loving my new 'do!

Your hair looks great - that color is so rich and pretty! I'll have to check out that place the next time I visit Boston - which I hope will be in the next few months.

That's a very lovely rich color. How do you feel about it? Is it taking some getting used to? Have you had to change your make up shades much? What is it you prefer about cup cakes over cake?
ReplyDeleteYUM! I want to go cupcake hunting! Oh, and that sweater looks SO comfy!
ReplyDeleteLove your thrifted sweater and bag. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI live in JP:) Isn't it the best? Monumental is delicious, but I prefer Fiore's, which is right across the street. They have amazing vegan cupcakes.

I'm at school waiting for my next class, hungry and I see you with a cupcake! DROOL! Oh well - I am on a diet anyways so no sweets for me! I LOVE the new hair color, I usually save money and dye my hair at home but have been too busy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a good macaroon place in Boston yet, we usually head up to NYC for them but haven't in a while. I plan to hunt some down in Boston so I will keep you posted!
I'm loving your hair!
ReplyDeleteI probably should have still worn a coat, haha!
ReplyDeleteOoh, thanks! That's a great list.
ReplyDeleteJP really seems great. Can't wait to go back when it's warm enough to explore a bit. Thanks for the recommendation!

I love the new hair. If I wasn't so silly and reading your posts backwards, I would've known and not tried to play a guessing game of "spot the differences."
ReplyDeleteI love cute local places! In Columbus there's a vegan bakery called Pattycake. They make the best everything everrr! And, as always, you look cute ^-^
